Feeling Like a Puppet?

Graffiti in Glasgow, unknown artist.

What a huge and well-executed piece of art. I am always impressed by murals and large scale graffiti – the ability of an artist to work on the small details while keeping in mind the big picture to create a cohesive whole.

Something to bear in mind in our own lives.

The subject matter hit home for me too.

  • Feeling trapped?

  • Feeling like your choices are being made for you?

  • Feeling like the world is being controlled by ‘puppet masters’ that have all the power?

With current affairs as they are, and a system which tends to make us into working (and buying) units rather than humans with souls and dreams it can feel a lot like things are out of our hands.

But that’s not the truth. We have the power to make our own minds, our own decisions, and to break out from the mould we find ourselves in.

Start with noticing where you are feeling trapped, where you find your thought processes straying from your own heart. Recognise where you are now, clarity is everything.

Start today by setting aside some time, even if it is just 5 minutes. Sit with yourself, and sift through how you are feeling.

If being trapped, constrained, restricted, obligated, or cornered are what come to you – then start breaking those feelings down.

  • Why are you feeling that way?

  • Who or what are bringing those feelings into your life?

  • What thought patterns are creating these feelings?

This is the beginning of clarity.

Question yourself until you get to the core of the matter – that is the beginning of everything.

Do you want support on your journey of questioning? Do you want guidance, mentoring, and coaching to develop a conscious design for your own life that is totally suited to your heart and soul?

If you loved this and think your tribe would too – share it!
